Race Report: Sole Sisters Charity Run for Cancer Research 2013

Posted on Oct 20, 2013 by in Running | 0 comments

This morning, Duncan and I ventured to Smiths Falls for the inaugural Sole Sisters Charity Run for Cancer Research.

I had heard about this event on the Smiths Falls Runs! Facebook page, in addition to posts by Corey Turnbull (Ambassador, Good Guys Tri).  With many runners taking a stand to support legitimate charitable races, I knew without a doubt this community in action event was not to be missed.  To better understand the story behind this run, please take 3 minutes and read this overview.

France Murdoch, along with her race committee, put on a stellar event – great course, cheerful volunteers and a worthy cause.  Small town races may not get the publicity of large city events, but they certainly lead the way in meaning, atmosphere and family friendly fun!

Thank you to all the great sponsors who backed this event, to Running Goat Timing, and Sean Coutts for providing finish line photography.
