2013 Summer Fun
A mere 60 days ago, we had tons of time earmarked for weekend escapes, camping adventures, and day tripping. Turns out plans were only for the making at the Bird House, and yet, everyone seems to have loved the summer.
Derek arrived home from Halifax just in time to watch Duncan kick start his summer vacation with a new PB in the Canada Day 5K. Pierce even got in the action, running the Kids 1K, followed by being an honorary run course pointer… all thanks to the hat!
With Canada Day behind us, the day camps and actitives, coupled with events and festivals kicked in. Duncan got to see Cirque du Soleil’s TOTEM, Pierce was the on-stage assistant at the Spin Cycle Show. We finally managed to snag some family time in August, and did our annual trip to Toronto. This year, we hit up Wonderland, Wonderland again, visited the Eaton Centre, and ran a race on the Toronto Island. We also got in some great hiking at Morris Island and did some open water swimming at Robb’s Lake.
